HDHMR stands for High Density High Moisture Resistant board. Action Tesa HDHMR is an engineered wood panel designed as an alternative to MDF and, in some applications, plywood. It is known for its high density (around 850 kg/m³), smooth finish, good screw-holding capacity, and resistance to moisture, termites, and borers.

Advantages vs Plywood

• More uniform surface
• Better finish quality for laminates and paint

Limitations

• Not a replacement for marine-grade BWP plywood in areas with constant water exposure.
• Heavier than MDF due to higher density.
• For sink cabinets and continuously wet locations, quality BWP plywood is usually preferred.
